JP Electrical Services Ltd, an electrical contracting company in Hampshire, had a bespoke software system running on SCO Unix 5.4 open server. Although the system worked well it was running on an ageing hardware and operating system combination. They were concerned that if it failed it would cause excessive downtime due to the old architecture. The company's existing service provider came up with their preferred solution, which seemed very expensive
SEC Consulting were invited to discuss the problem, they not only offered a far more economic and secure solution to the immediate problem and they also explained the way forward with the company's bespoke software bringing many enhancements in utilising up to date technology. They provided a turnkey solution and managed the migration of the system to a new hardware platform running Linux and dealt with any and all associated issues.
